Growing up with family dogs, I always loved the companionship and joy they brought to my life. It wasn’t until I got my first dog, Mirage, that I truly understood the full responsibility and bond between a dog and their person. Mirage was my heart dog and was absolutely perfect.

As wonderful as Mirage was, she still had her struggles. At a young age, she developed severe allergies that caused constant itching, red skin, and breakouts. We tried countless medications, but they only provided temporary relief and came with unpleasant side effects. After some research and guidance, I was able to help Mirage find relief with the introduction of fresh food nutrition and holistic care. Not only did her skin improve, but other signs of aging slowed down. Those last five years of her life, from the ages of 9 to 14, were some of her best.

It was through my pursuit of a solution for Mirage that I found a new passion—canine nutrition. When we brought her little brother, Rajah, into our family, I immediately started him on a fresh food diet, and I never looked back. Mirage and Rajah inspired me to become a canine nutritionist so I could help other dogs—and their owners—take control of their health.
